Charles Jones is a founding member and faculty of the Creating WE Institute.
He is a thought leader at the intersection of consciousness research and behavioral science, Charles has developed a “periodic table of affective states” linking emotion to awareness.
According to this new theory, our emotions act as an “attentional guidance system”, the purpose of which is to keep us focused on the skillful expression of our values. If true, this new theory would have profound implications for the way we educate, counsel, parent, govern, market, change, and lead. Believing this to be the case, Charles recently founded an institute to reconstruct the behavioral sciences – beginning with the practice of leadership, in light of this new theory.
When he is not reconstructing the behavioral sciences; consulting to corporate leaders on ways to enhance organizational culture; or speaking to psychologists on how to apply these concepts to the treatment of anger, anxiety, and depression; Charles can usually be found outside – playing tennis in the suburbs, hiking in the mountains, or bodysurfing in the ocean. Charles is currently looking for research collaborators and commercialization partners. He can be reached via his website at www.cmjinstitute.com
